Have you ever considered that by texting you are actively decreasing your intelligence? Is texting a self-destructing habit? Wil it mak u tip lik this? Texting will decrease your ability to comprehend previously unheard words and decrease your vocabulary.

The author of the article conducted an experiment to discover how texting affects word comprehension. Their results are conclusive and state that texting will actually decrease your ability to discover the meaning of new words. This is a fairly significant part of learning a language, so it can be specifically harmful if it occurs at a young age.

There are studies (context needed) that show that as you do not use all of your vocabulary, you forget some of your less used words. By texting, you are only using a small number of the words that an average person would comprehend. This will lead to a decrease in the texter’s vocabulary. This could be hurtful for all involved. This could all be prevented by texting less.

In conclusion, texting will decrease grammatical skills. The article conducted by the author of this article blatantly shows how their is a direct correlation between texting and a decrease in grammar skills. Although not texting does not help your grammar skills, it is much better to do so and not miss out on the wonderful world of grammar.
